Joe concentrates his practice in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications, primarily in the software, computer systems, and electrical arts. His experience involves a variety of technologies, notably distributed file systems, computer security, software systems, RFID, robotics, and machine learning. Joe also has experience drafting and prosecuting patents in the areas of materials science (e.g., 3D printing), mechanical devices, medical devices, and business methods, as well as in the management of large patent portfolios.
Prior to joining Tarolli, Joe worked as a patent attorney for a boutique intellectual property law firm in Chicago, focusing on patent prosecution and litigation. Joe also has significant industry experience in computer science.
